Downward Facing Dog – The downward facing dog lengthens and strengthens the muscles of the back and legs. Begin by posing on your hands and knees, directly in front of your shoulders. Pick up your legs from the floor and raise your hips to the ceiling. Relax the muscles in your back. To make the stance more painful and to stretch the hamstrings, press the heels against the concrete. Maintain your stance for 5 to 10 deep breaths.
